Icebreaker LLPs have invested in a broad range of activities by licensing, developing and exploiting intellectual property. Here are a few examples of potential and existing Icebreaker LLP activities.

• Licensing the right to exploit the technical specification for potential new software or technology. The LLP incurs expenditure on developing, producing and marketing products using the know how and derives income from sales of the products.
   
  
• Licensing the right to use sporting names, brands and logos for a new sports facility. The LLP incurs expenditure by developing and marketing the facility using the sporting names, brands and logos, and derives income from exploiting the facility and related merchandising.
   
  
• Licensing the right to use musical compositions in a sound album or make visual or sound recordings of a live performance. The LLP incurs expenditure on recording and marketing an album or DVD and derives income from sales of DVDs and CDs.
   
  
• Licensing the right to use a design concept for new restaurants or entertainment venues. The LLP incurs expenditure on developing and marketing facilities using the design concept and derives income from the operation of the restaurants and entertainment venues.
